Saint Peter's Day
Traditionally, our local fishermen, in Sainte-Maxime, will honor Saint-Pierre, the Patron Saint of fishermen on this June 29th. To end the evening on a taste note, nothing better than a Sardinade... Accompanied by the famous ""guinguette"" evening! Provisional program:
6:30 p.m. - Mass in the Church
7 p.m. - Procession in the old center from the Church to the harbor master's pier
7:45 p.m. - Procession at sea and blessing of the boats
8:15 p.m. - Resumption of the procession from the Harbor office to the Magnoti area
8:30 p.m. - Traditional dances by the folk group Leï Magnoti and burning of the ""Pointu"" on the Luc Provensal beach in the city center
9 p.m. - ""Guinguette"" and Sardinade evening on the Olivier Bausset pier
Reservation and ticket office for the Sardinade at the Tourist Office or online.
Dress code: Sailor shirt
The same event is also celebrated in Saint-Tropez. As is tradition, the Friends of Bravade and the fishermen of Saint-Tropez will celebrate Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen and seafarers.
9:15 p.m.: gathering in front of the parish church for the torchlight procession through the old town.
