Opera under the stars: Duo Hoza

In this chamber music recital, with the atmosphere of the salons of the time, the Duo Hoza explores the links between Italy and England through the history of airs in representative genre, between the madrigal and the opera and with three leading composers of the Baroque period.

From the origin of this style with Claudio Monteverdi until the end of the period with Georg Friedrich Handel, passing through the most famous of the English composers of the time: Henry Purcell.

By interpreting several airs of the same character, we follow the way in which the composers develop their feelings through a stripped musical structure.
We therefore travel from Italy and the first opera arias to England, through the links between nature and love, following the evolution of opera arias, from one country to another, and from one century to the next.
